Refund policy

Returns and Refunds

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and ECTA

As a customer in South Africa, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) apply to every purchase from Gizmoozle. Nothing in this policy limits or removes those rights.

Seven-day cooling-off period (ECTA Section 44)

If you purchased goods from Gizmoozle as a consumer through our online store, you may have the right to cancel the transaction within seven days of receiving the goods, without reason or penalty, under Section 44 of ECTA.

This cooling-off right does not apply to:

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (such as custom-printed apparel and accessories);
  • Goods that cannot be returned by their nature;
  • Goods that have been unsealed and are not suitable for return on health or hygiene grounds;
  • Any other category excluded under Section 42(2) of ECTA or applicable law.

To exercise this right, contact us at bennettpaservices@outlook.com within seven days of receiving your goods. We will confirm return instructions. Do not send items back without contacting us first. Return shipping costs for ECTA cooling-off cancellations are for the consumer's account unless otherwise required by law.

Six-month implied warranty on defective goods (CPA Section 56)

All goods sold by Gizmoozle carry an implied warranty of quality for six months from the date of delivery. If goods are found to be defective, unsafe, or not reasonably suitable for the purpose for which they were intended within that period, you have the right to choose one of the following remedies:

  • Have the goods repaired,
  • Have the goods replaced, or
  • Receive a full refund.

The choice of remedy is yours, not ours.

Where a return is required for a qualifying defect under Section 56, the goods will be returned at the supplier's risk and expense. You will not be required to pay return shipping costs for goods that qualify under this warranty.

How to request a return or report a defect

Contact us at bennettpaservices@outlook.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the item and its packaging. We will confirm return instructions. Do not send items back without contacting us first.

Statutory cancellation rights

Depending on how and where you placed your order, you may have additional statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights under ECTA or the CPA. These rights apply where the relevant legal requirements are met and are subject to the exceptions and limitations set out in those Acts. If you believe a statutory cancellation right applies to your purchase, contact us and we will assess your situation.

Personalised and custom-made items

Custom or personalised products (such as printed apparel and accessories) are made to your specification. Your statutory rights under the CPA for defective goods still apply to these items. Please note that ECTA cooling-off rights do not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately at bennettpaservices@outlook.com. We will assess the issue and work to resolve it in line with your rights.

Sale items

Your CPA rights apply regardless of whether an item was purchased at full price or on sale. A discount does not remove your statutory rights.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
